A Community Hospital Transformed
Renovation and Central Utilities, Anna Jaques Hospital
Increased focus on quality and patient experience has led to significant improvements at Anna Jaques Hospital, an independent, not-for-profit community hospital serving 17 cities and towns in Massachusetts’ Merrimack Valley, North Shore and Southern New Hampshire.
Renovations include:
- Addition of the Institution for Savings Inpatient Unit, an 18-bed, all-private-room unit for medical and surgical patients. The addition of 18 new single-occupancy rooms transforms Anna Jaques into a primarily all-private room hospital. Now, nearly every inpatient gets a single, at no additional cost to the patient or insurance company.
- An upgraded power plant that saves 15% in energy use, reduces the hospital’s carbon footprint, and provides improved reliability/redundancy.
- A renovated hospital outpatient entrance area to allow patients easy access in and out of Anna Jaques with serene surroundings.
