Engineering an Alpine Neighborhood
Nestled between ski slopes and a signature golf course, the new Spruce Peak at Stowe community offers world-class skiing and golfing, a destination spa and wellness center, fine dining and friendly bistros, chic and convenient shops, a state-of-the-art Performance Center, and more. Seated on 32 acres on the side of a mountain in the heart of ski country, BVH has played an extensive role in bringing Spruce Peak’s Master Plan into reality providing design engineering and contract administration services for several projects.
One Spruce Peak includes 29 condominium units, dining and locker rooms and parking for the Stowe Mountain Club. BVH performed civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design for this 112,000-SF residential unit.
Spruce Camp is a new, 75,000-SF ski resort base lodge including a restaurant and bar, meeting space, transfer lift, and ski rental. BVH’s scope included civil, structural and MEP engineering design.
BVH was the civil engineer for the new, 17,000-SF Spruce Performing Arts Center. Our work included the design of the underground hot water and chilled water supply.
Village Plaza is the central gathering space and pedestrian way for the Spruce Peak Development with snow-melt paver surface treatment, accessible grading, outdoor fireplace and landscape features. The Plaza also includes high-end retail buildings for coffee shops, bars, restaurants, village market, and retail space. BVH provided civil and structural design.
BVH has also designed and provided contract administration as the prime consultant for multiple infrastructure improvement projects, which have provided the necessary utilities to support the development projects.
