Creating Well-Designed Workplace Environments

Multi-Building Complex, Mass Mutual Financial Group

Successful corporations need work environments that engage their people, improve productivity and support the continuously changing business climate. BVH helped financial services firm Mass Mutual maintain its competitive edge by performing engineering design for extensive renovations to its 225,000-SF, five-building complex in Enfield, Connecticut. We also designed the mechanical and electrical building systems for a new six-story, 1,200-car parking garage.

To help Mass Mutual align its physical spaces with their organizational requirements, BVH also performed a study of the complex’s HVAC system and 3,250-ton chiller plant. Work included a life-cycle cost analysis of a 30-year-old steam turbine and electric chiller plant against new electric or absorption chillers.
