New Building Expansion Farmington, CT BVH provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design and technology services for an 85,000-SF new building expansion to the Farmington campus of Trumpf Inc. The new laser manufacturing facility, constructed as the headquarters for lasers used in industrial production, its fastest growing market sector, is named the Laser Innovation and Technical Excellence or "LITE" building. The new facility, which doubles the space Trumpf formerly occupied, had unique data and communications requirements. A unique technology solution – the Nexans LANmark-7A – was implemented to serve network demands of the company well into the future. The new facility is expected to help Trumpf stay competitive in the global laser cutting tools market. |
