Planning the campus design involved a process that was both strategic and creative, with careful consideration of the requirements for multiple building types.
Starting with the university and architect’s initial placement of the buildings on the site, several goals drove the planning. Among these were: economic considerations, aesthetic appearance, traffic patterns, security, and student needs. As the design developed and decisions were made for a green campus producing between 15 and 30 percent of its energy needs, plans for sustainable energy options for present and future demand loads took a high priority. Phasing of the construction of multiple buildings was also considered.

Integration Showcase focuses on a project where comprehensive and integrated services benefited a major infrastructure project. The many advantages of having a single source include: a broader perspective, closer coordination, and ongoing familiarity with optimal solutions.
