The Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) mission is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century, whether the focus is cancer, energy, economics or literature. The students and professionals of MIT's Materials Processing Center (MPC), an interdisciplinary center within MIT's School of Engineering, focus specifically on materials processing and manufacturing. The MPC's facilities are used by representatives from industry, academia and government who examine multidisciplinary issues in topics such as:

BVH performed MEP/FP engineering design services for a comprehensive renovation of the MPC's office and administrative suite. Our main challenge was getting fresh air into the interior office areas that have no outside windows.

 

BVH has also provided engineering services for several other renovation projects at MIT, including:

  • Laboratory for Nuclear Science, a 2,100-SF office suite
  • The Operations Research Center
  • Student & Faculty Lounge in Building 4
  • Sloan 13th floor improvements
